UX & Product Design > Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard

I launched my career at HP as a data-entry specialist and graphic designer & developer for hpshopping.ca, HP’s newly introduced digital shopping platform. Working alongside developers, business lines, marketing, and quality assurance, I played a key role in shaping user experience fundamentals—ensuring intuitive navigation, accessibility, and brand consistency. HP will always be special to me, as this defining experience laid the foundation for my design career.

Notable Projects & Accomplishments

HP Touchsmart campaign

The first project for our new in-house agency was an interactive experience introducing the new HP Touchsmart all in one PC. Alongside a developer, we worked together to build out a flash experience like no other. With support from marketing and the greater Touchsmart team, the experience outlined the new touch computer’s features with a fun and exciting interface. Furthermore, customers could get real time pricing and availability from our partners, a technology very new for the time.

In-House agency creation

Early on, I began to notice sub-optimal deliverables from outside agencies. Partnering with a back-end developer, we began to experiment with the development and design of internal projects. With several successful presentations, we eventually replaced several outside agencies and formed the in-house design and development agency. As a team, we went on to launch campaigns relating to the new Touchsmart line of computers, as well as several small business and enterprise endeavours.
