Scotiabank

Digital User Experience Designer

December 2016 – Present
Toronto, Ontario

As a digital user experience designer, I led the redesign and migration of Scotiabank.com along with Scene+, Small Business, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Healthcare+ and several other large sites. With extensive research, user-testing, and design iteration, I was able to reorganize content and design a better user experience for customers. Reinventing the online experience for a 150 yr old company is no easy task. It takes perseverance and data to back up decisions.

Projects & Accomplishments

Scotiabank.com Redesign & AEM Migration

New brand meets new content management.

Small Business Redesign

Acting as solo designer, I led the redesigns of several core Scotiabank digital experiences including : Commercial banking, Healthcare+, Wealth Management and Scene+. Partnering with data and research teams, we reorganized information architecture, reformatted and rewrote content to be more user focused while applying new branding to over 2000+ pages.

Scotia AEM Components (AEM GPS)

I led the design of a comprehensive internal guide for new and current Scotia.com content authors. Transforming complex confluence pages into bright, rich and beautiful pages. Each page consisted of a slew of information pertaining to page flow, content direction, UX expectations and accessibility guidelines. Furthermore, a sections were devoted to campaign post mortems and content articles.

Experimental experiences and solo adventures

I designed, programmed and built a small, four level game in Unity based off a new study from our design research team. The game had users play through four distinct archetypes based on how people generally manage their money.
